It is a this point where the two rivers intersect! Here is Emily on the Kaiser Denkmal and across the Rhine river on the top of the hill, one can see the Festung Ehrerbreitstein. (basically...like a castle or a huge fort for Koblez back in the day)Kaiser Wilhelm on a horse. This is his memorial.A church .... maybe... he said it on the guided tour, but I have forgotten already.
This building is now the Middle ages Museum however it was once the Älteskauf-u. Schoffenhaus
Florinskirche (Florins Church)
Liebfrauen Kirche (I only have pictures of it from the inside)

The Kaiser Wilhelm the first memorial and the Deutsches Eck
The boat that we had our Rhine cruise on: Deutsches Eck
An inside view of the boat cabin seating, no one sat down here, but it would be a lovely place to take an evening Rhine cruise with supper. We were all on the upper deck basking in the sun!
The Koblenzer Historiensäule (Koblenz history column). And it is exactly that. If you look at the bottom, I will explain.
First I am sure you see the men in the boat (this is a wine boat).
The next level up is known as the Roman castellum settlement period which takes place from the 1-5th centuries.

Next level up is known as the crown dominion and meeting place which depicts Koblenz history in the centuries 6-9th.

This is a period of French settlement and takeover in Koblenz. The next column up is from the 10-12th centuries, it is called "from Reich (empire) to Kutrier. If you can see clearly enough, there is smoke and flames depicted here, meaning that Koblenz burned.

The next level up takes place from 12-13th centuries and this level depicts reconstruction of Koblenz, it is titled "Crusades and Slave-trade.

The next level up is from the 13-16th centuries and shows Koblenz as a prospering community.

However on the next layer up, we again see disaster wíth another huge fire in Koblenz from the 17-18th centuries. This level has many things taking place, but during this time there was the 30 years war and the persecution of witches.

The next level up is again another period of disaster for Koblenz in the 18th century. It is here that again the Frenchies have something to say and the French Revolution takes place. So more fire and smoke etc.

On the next level, there is of course, more reconstruction (yay, lucky Koblenz!) this takes place from th 19-20th centuries. This is termed the Prussian Period of Koblenz. The top half of this layer depicts more destruction with the second world war known as the destruction of 1944.

The very last layer is the top layer, and it is here that we see Koblenz as it is today. This layer is called "A Forward Looking Town."

Well... I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the little insight I have given you into the historical periods of Koblenz.
